About this home

Offered for purchase on the public market for the first time, 530 N La Jolla is a rare opportunity to own a truly special West Hollywood residence. Private and architecturally distinguished, the home offers four bedrooms, four baths, and nearly 4,000 square feet of beautifully considered indoor-outdoor living. Originally conceived by USC's Dean of Graduate Architecture as a private, design-forward retreat, the home was designed with a sense of discretion and an appreciation for thoughtful design that carries throughout. Floor-to-ceiling Fleetwood doors, Italian Poliform cabinetry and millwork, hand-applied Roman clay walls, soaring ceilings, and a beautiful mix of natural materials and textures give the interiors a warmth and character that feel both sophisticated and inviting. An executive chef's kitchen anchors the home, with multiple entertaining spaces that open naturally to the outdoors. The residence has recently undergone an extensive interior and exterior transformation, with a renewed attention to detail throughout. Inside, the improvements include refinished flooring, hand-plastered walls, a complete interior repaint, and a redesigned kitchen with beautifully reworked surfaces and finishes. Outside, an entirely reimagined Bali-inspired landscape brings a completely different dimension to the property, with lush tropical planting, sculpted greenery, intimate water features, a resort-style swimming pool, and multiple thoughtfully designed spaces for dining and entertaining. The grounds feel like their own little world, a private tropical setting that brings indoor-outdoor living at its best. The home is offered fully furnished, with an exceptional collection of designer furnishings and pieces selected to complement the architecture and bring the interiors together. It's a home with a distinct point of view, a wonderful sense of privacy, and a character that's increasingly hard to find.
