About this home
One of Orange County's best-kept secrets, Godeffroy is a peaceful riverside community nestled at the base of the Shawangunk Ridge-and home to this immaculate, renovated two-bedroom cottage. Set along the Neversink River, this bright and inviting home offers an open floor plan with a spacious kitchen and a large living room with vaulted ceiling. Fully renovated from the roof to the studs in 2020, the cottage has been thoughtfully upgraded with a new septic system, NYSERDA EmPower+ efficiency insulation package, hot water heater, whole-house double water filtration system, stainless steel kitchen appliances including dishwasher, Samsung front-load washer and dryer, and mini-split heating and cooling with backup electric baseboard heat. Outside, enjoy a newly paved two-car driveway, new 7' x 7' Craftsman shed on a paved pad, and a fenced backyard. Perfect for nature lovers, along with deeded access to the neighborhood beach on the river, the cottage is 15 minutes from the Bashakill Wildlife Refuge and 20 minutes from the Delaware River. Conveniently located for commuters is a 20-minute drive to Middletown, 30 minutes to Goshen, and the Otisville station of the Metro North Rail is less than 10 minutes away. Ideal for downsizers, first-time home buyers, or if you're looking for a peaceful escape from the pace of city life.
