About this home

Watch the sun rise over layers of Blue Ridge mountains from the expansive decks of this beautifully updated luxury mountain retreat in Todd. Set between Boone and West Jefferson, this private property captures the best of fall in the High Country, from crisp mornings overlooking brilliant autumn foliage to cool evenings entertaining friends under the stars. Thoughtful upgrades have enhanced both the beauty and functionality of the property, including an expanded Trex deck designed to maximize the spectacular views and a substantial, beautifully crafted stone retaining wall that has transformed the upper driveway, creating a more spacious and inviting approach to the home. Inside, a dramatic wall of windows brings the long-range mountain views into focus, while soaring 22-foot wood ceilings and a striking stone fireplace create a warm yet sophisticated mountain atmosphere. The open living, dining, and kitchen areas are designed for effortless entertaining and comfortable everyday living. The well-appointed kitchen features a premium Verona gas range, granite countertops, floating shelves, and a generous island with seating. The primary suite offers a spa-inspired bath with hand-carved vessel sinks and custom finishes, while a second bedroom provides comfortable accommodations for family and guests. Adding to the property's versatility is a charming detached cottage with a loft and newer mini-split system for year-round comfort. Whether used as a private home office, fitness studio, creative retreat, or additional gathering space, this separate building offers flexibility to suit your lifestyle. An adjoining 1.25-acre lot is included, providing additional privacy and room to enjoy the natural mountain setting. A previously approved septic expansion permit has expired, offering buyers the opportunity to explore reestablishing approval with the county for future expansion possibilities. Additional improvements include a new UV water filtration system and newer water pump, reflecting the care and investment that have gone into maintaining and enhancing this special property. Located within a gated mountain community where both short- and long-term rentals are permitted, this retreat offers the flexibility of a full-time residence, luxury second home, or investment property. With the New River, Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, and West Jefferson just a short drive away, you'll enjoy convenient access to outdoor recreation, dining, shopping, and everything that makes the North Carolina High Country so desirable.
