About this home

Welcome to 702 Springfield Avenue, a beautifully updated Colonial blending classic Cranford charm with thoughtful modern improvements and an abundance of living space. The inviting first floor features a spacious living room with fireplace, formal dining room and eat-in kitchen with center island and separate dining area, and a lovely sunroom/den/office. A comfortable family room, currently used as a formal dining room, offers wonderful flexibility, while a convenient mud/laundry room and powder room complete the level. Upstairs are four bedrooms and two full baths, including a spacious primary suite with walk-in closet, private bath and balcony overlooking the backyard. The newly finished basement, completed in September 2026, provides even more space for recreation, entertaining or a home office. Significant improvements include a new roof, furnace, HVAC units, water heater and appliances in 2023, along with additional kitchen cabinetry; a new fence and remodeled deck in 2024; and remodeled stairs and fresh interior paint in 2026. Outside, the deck and fenced backyard provide a wonderful setting for dining, entertaining or simply relaxing. There is a detached garage too! Ideally situated near Nomahegan Park, schools and vibrant downtown with its restaurants, shops and NYC transportation. An added benefit, the property does not require flood insurance, making this beautifully maintained and extensively updated home an exceptional opportunity in a terrific Cranford location.
