About this home

For thousands of years, people have been drawn to the banks of the Llano River-a landscape shaped by water, history, and the enduring connection between people and the Texas Hill Country. Today, that same sense of place continues to attract those seeking a slower pace, outdoor adventure, and a place where generations can gather to create lasting memories. Positioned above the Llano River with Badu Park stretching between the property and the water, this unique offering provides a setting that is increasingly difficult to find. Whether enjoyed as a full-time residence, weekend retreat, or investment opportunity, the property embraces the natural beauty and authentic character that define Llano. Adding to its unique character, documents obtained from the Nimitz Museum and records from the Llano County Clerk indicate the property's recorded history dates to the original land grant associated with the establishment of the City of Llano. Records include a conveyance from Heinrick Hoerster to Chester B. Starks in 1858. After Starks passed without heirs, his estate was bequeathed to Charles Henry Nimitz, grandfather of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, providing a remarkable connection to one of the Texas Hill Country's pioneering families and to the early history of Llano itself. Included with the property is an additional approximately 0.5-acre lot, creating an expanded homesite with exceptional flexibility. Additional acreage provides opportunities for enhanced privacy, outdoor living, future improvements.
