About this home
St. Elmo is where South Austin makes things: whiskey, beer, wine, art, music, and the occasional pickleball or padel rivalry. Public Lofts sits right in the middle of it, and #514 puts you on the 5th floor with a 35-foot private balcony aimed at the southwest sky, so the sunset becomes part of your evening. Inside, a full wall of energy-efficient Andersen windows floods the open living area with light, and with no neighbors to the east, the unit feels noticeably private. This 2-bed, 2-bath condo is built for real life: a built-in desk for remote days, quartz kitchen counters, a 16-foot primary suite with an oversized walk-in closet, and a dedicated laundry closet. Washer, dryer, refrigerator, Nest thermostat and 3 covered spaces in the gated garage all convey. Public Lofts adds 10,000 sq ft of shared space: rooftop gym, yoga and meditation studio, a courtyard with gas fire pit and grills, a shaded heritage oak courtyard, and two off-leash dog runs. A new rooftop pool is being rebuilt. Walk to The Yard for St. Elmo Brewing, 15,000 sf Still Austin Whiskey Quarter and concert venue and The Austin Winery, coffee at Cosmic, a set at Monks Jazz Club, or a round at Pins Mechanical. Quickie Pickie grocery is coming soon. The Bergstrom Spur trail is under construction, light rail is planned along South Congress, and Downtown, SoCo and Lady Bird Lake are minutes away. For a first-time buyer, it's a real foothold in South Austin's creative district. For an early mover, it's a seat right where Austin is building next. Come catch the sunset from the balcony and see it for yourself.
