About this home

Located on the Llano River near the historic Schneider's Slab crossing, this 2.24 acre property is a nature lover's paradise. The property lies on a long deep-water pool, great for kayaking, fishing, swimming, or paddleboarding, and has natural granite rapids on each end. The land is dotted with beautiful oak trees and granite outcroppings and has been carefully hand-cleared for great views and easy river access. Pesticide and chemical free for decades, the property hosts an astounding array of migratory birds and Hill Country fauna. The property faces across the river to a large and undeveloped piece of ranch land, while dark starry skies and quiet nights are preserved by the few neighbors in the area being Austin weekenders. The property is accessible via a new metal gate off of the paved county road and a newly drilled well awaits only power and a pump. Additionally, there are building sites with good views, out of the floodplain. Nearby is the Castell General Store, with music and food, while Llano, with it's grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, movie theater, coffee shops, and the historic Courthouse Square, is just a short 15 minute drive away. An additional adjoining 2.25 acres may also be available for purchase as well.
