About this home

Welcome to your private retreat in the heavily wooded Lake Thunderbird community. This property offers a peaceful country lifestyle surrounded by mature oak, cedar, and pine trees. The exterior of the home features classic wood siding and a durable metal roof that blends effortlessly into its natural forest backdrop. A covered front porch with rustic log railings provides the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy the deep, natural privacy of the lot, which is further highlighted by the dense tree canopy surrounding the front entrance. Stepping inside, the home features an open-concept living area with vaulted ceilings and abundant natural light. The kitchen is grounded by extensive natural wood cabinetry and a large, wood-topped breakfast bar with matching counters. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a deep double-basin sink under a window looking out into the trees, and ample workspace for cooking. The kitchen flows directly into the main living room where a wall of sliding glass doors provides views of the wooded property and opens directly onto the side porch for seamless indoor-outdoor living. The outdoor spaces are designed to maximize the tranquility of the neighborhood. The backyard area includes a cleared space for an outdoor dining table and fire pit, ideal for quiet evenings under the stars. Living in Lake Thunderbird grants you access to an array of neighborhood amenities. Spend your weekends on the community's private, non-motorized lake using the neighborhood boat ramp or fishing from the stocked pier. The association also maintains a neighborhood park, a playground, shaded picnic areas, a local clubhouse, a fenced dog park, and wooded walking trails. With no city property taxes, zoning freedom, and close proximity to the outdoor recreation at Buescher State Park, this property delivers the perfect balance of rural quiet and community convenience.
