About this home
Experience the timeless beauty of country living at 12255 Strittmatter Road, where history, wide-open spaces, and endless possibilities come together on one remarkable North Texas ranch. Originally built in the 1930s and relocated to this incredible property more than 50 years ago, this charming farmhouse has long been the heart of the historic Marriott Ranch and is ready for its next chapter. Offering 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, and 1 half bath, the home is filled with character and generous living spaces, including a formal dining room, an entertainer's kitchen with a breakfast nook, and inviting gathering areas designed for making memories. Start your mornings with coffee on the expansive wraparound porch, unwind on the covered back patio overlooking the fenced backyard, and enjoy the peaceful sights and sounds that only country living can provide. While the home would benefit from updates and restoration, it offers an incredible opportunity to preserve its historic charm while creating a one-of-a-kind ranch retreat. The property is thoughtfully equipped for both work and recreation with a substantial shop featuring a private 1-bedroom, 1-bath living quarters, insulated storage, covered RV storage, and a three-bay workshop. Additional covered equipment and hay storage provide exceptional versatility for ranch operations, hobbies, or recreational equipment. Approximately 36 fenced and cross-fenced acres offer a beautiful blend of improved pasture, mature trees, and water throughout, creating an ideal setting for horses, livestock, or simply enjoying the privacy and beauty of the North Texas countryside. Whether your vision includes a working ranch, equestrian property, multigenerational homestead, or peaceful rural escape, this property provides the space, infrastructure, and setting to bring it to life. Additional acreage is available. Contact the listing agent for information on all available purchase options.
