About this home

Set in one of New York's most coveted neighborhoods, 39 Willow Place in Brooklyn Heights, is an exceptionally rare offering: a 25-foot-wide, fully renovated historic townhouse where enduring architecture meets the highest standards of modern living. Originally built in 1848, the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom residence spans approximately 6,000 square feet across five levels. At its heart is a bespoke Plain English kitchen, finished with honed Bianco Carrara marble and appointed with Sub-Zero, Miele, and Bertazzoni appliances. Throughout the home, solid white oak floors, restored original millwork, Forbes & Lomax hardware, and radiant heated bathroom and stone floors reflect an uncompromising attention to detail. The garden level features a legal one-bedroom suite with a full kitchen and washer/dryer, offering exceptional flexibility for guests, extended family, live-in staff, or additional entertaining space. The home also includes a dedicated wellness level with a gym, sauna, steam shower, and a power-ready room for a future wine cellar. The rear garden has been thoughtfully redesigned with an expansive eight-foot ipe terrace extending from the parlor floor, a bluestone patio, and professionally landscaped grounds, creating an exceptional setting for outdoor entertaining and everyday living. Behind its historic facade, the home has been comprehensively rebuilt with new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, security, and networking systems. An all-electric LG heat pump HVAC system, Hempitecture insulation, and the removal of legacy gas infrastructure and chimney stacks enhance energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and long-term performance. Just moments from Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Promenade, acclaimed restaurants, boutiques, and Manhattan, 39 Willow Place represents a remarkable opportunity to own one of Brooklyn Heights' finest renovated townhouses.
