About this home

An extremely rare duplex penthouse and private outdoor oasis atop one of West End's most exceptional buildings - 2,500+ sqft of outdoor space, magnificent sunsets, private storage unit and exceptionally low maintenance. This classic seven-room residence pairs grand pre-war proportions with three bedrooms and two bathrooms and multiple outdoor spaces. The flexible layout allows for reconfiguration. The main level is made for gracious entertaining, with generous ceiling heights and a wood-burning fireplace. The living spaces open directly onto a large, beautifully landscaped private terrace, equally suited to hosting or quiet retreat. Upstairs, the primary suite opens to its own private balcony, a second serene outdoor escape. South and west exposures fill the home with sunlight throughout the day, and the evening sunsets can be enjoyed from both the terrace and the balcony. Built in 1915 and designed by George and Edward Blum, The Evanston is a landmarked pre-war cooperative known for its distinctive architecture and commanding presence on West End Avenue.
